The iCONNECT consortium consists of six (6) partners from 4 EU countries with complementary knowledge and backgrounds.
The Nationaal Ouderenfonds (NFE) is the coordinator of the iCONNECT project and as a senior organization it provides many services to older people with dementia. NFE has a direct reach to older people with dementia and collaborates with many local care settings throughout the Netherlands.
The Stichting Hogeschool Utrecht, University of Applied Science Utrecht (HU) is the 2nd Dutch partner, as a HEI in social sciences with a long history in creative learning methods it brings its specific expertise on combining agnostic approaches in education.
The LAB University of Applied Sciences (LAB), Faculty of Social and Health Care from Finland is the 3rd partner with extensive knowledge on the education on care and wellbeing. LAΒ has expertise on the promotion of healthy ageing and self-management of health issues are the core research and development themes within the Well-being and Regenerative Growth focus area.
The University of Ioannina (UoI), Department of Nursing from Greece is the 4th partner with expertise in models of integrated care, well-being and in empowering both individuals that need care, as well as experience in nursing education with emphasis on reflective practice and learning in nursing care of the elderly.
The University of Udine (UNIUD), Department of Nursing from Italy is the 5th partner emphasizes on evidence based nursing in the field of elderly and neuroscience including patient with cognitive decline and with a long tradition in continuing education in pedagogy and tutorship methods for nursing.
The Alzheimer Hellas (Elliniki Etairia Nosoy Alzheimer kai Syggenon Diatarachon - EENA) from Greece is the 6th partner and as a non-profit organization provides a wide range of services to people with Alzheimer's disease and their families, and offers a safe and supportive environment for people with dementia and also for the caregivers.
